CRJD-BTB1: Bhutanitis thaidina are endemic to China. These magnificent butterflies are very hard to find and rarely on the market. Thaidina's are a class 2 protected species and ra rely imported. Due to deforestation and harm to their habitats, this species is slowly declining of its population size. Visually they are dark, black butterfly with yellow vein-like stripes, its hindwings show a brush of red and minimal blue-white spots underneath the red. They have 3 tails on each hindwing end, a glorious species! From an older American collection, you will receive a selected example of this specimen spread as shown from the J.
