The original Bicycle Chainless deck was discontinued in 1917 after 18 years in-print and was intended to celebrate the technological advancements made to bicycles at the turn of ce ntury. The chain has remained an integral part of bicycles since their popularity boomed - only in the last decade however, have major companies started experimenting with belt-drives, electric bicycles and other means of internally driven (chain-less) bikes!
