In the blink of an eye things are changing; cars replace wagons, television replaces newspapers, jet planes move us farther and farther away. Big Hills, Small Mountains, is a colle ction of fragmented conversations that happen in a small township of less than 49 square miles. It all takes place on May 12, 1974, between 2:03pm and 2:13pm, in the same moment for all of the characters, unbeknownst to them.
