New this week! Billy's sketchbook We are adding some short, fun watercolour and drawing studies to add some shorter, no-stress studies if you are short of time. Keeping a sketchbook is fun and can be a great way to take your painting on short trips, holidays or your own fun little field studies. Over the months we will be dropping in these extra tutorials for you to try. In these films we have added the colour mixes on screen so you can see straight away the colours that have been used. This tutorial is a variegated Laurel leaf from my garden. The main thing to remember is to lay the colours on swiftly and allow them to dry. This lighter paper will train you to be quicker and more economical with your paint and painting strokes. It's also a fun, stress-free way to practice. I have added a few little notes about the plant and colours which can be added to as I gather more information. I hope this inspires you to start your own little sketchbooks.
