Bimecc Stud & Nut Conversion TÜV Approved Bimecc Stud & Nut Conversion Kit (Black Open Nuts) is a must-have upgrade for drivers looking to improve ease of wheel installation, safety, and vehicle aesthetics. Ideal for vehicles running aftermarket wheels and/or spacers, this kit ensures correct thread engagement and long-term reliability for road and track use. ⚠ IMPORTANT INFORMATION Each kit is sold as a complete vehicle set for 5-bolt wheels. Please ensure correct thread size and spacer requirements are confirmed before purchase. NOTE: Taper & Nut Size: 60-Deg 19mm Hex, listings also available with Copper nuts. Why Choose a Stud & Nut Conversion?+ When fitting spacers or aftermarket wheels, available thread engagement can be reduced. Aftermarket wheels often feature thicker mounting faces, while spacers reduce engagement by their thickness. For example, fitting a 15mm spacer reduces thread engagement by 15mm. To maintain safety, this lost engagement must be recovered using longer studs or bolts. Why Use the Bimecc Stud & Nut Conversion Kit?+ Faster and easier wheel changes – studs act as guides during installation. Stronger and more secure – consistent and correct thread engagement. Ideal for track use – increased durability under high-performance conditions. Installation Guide+ Professional installation is recommended. Inspect and clean hub face and threaded holes, removing all corrosion. Chase threads using brake cleaner, penetrating oil, and thread chasing tool. Clean threads until brake cleaner runs clear and allow to dry. Clean new studs. Test-fit each stud to ensure it does not bottom out in the hub. Apply a small amount of thread lock to the short threaded section. Hand-tighten stud, then torque to required Nm. Allow thread lock to set for 1 hour and fully cure for 24 hours. Install wheels and torque wheel nuts to required Nm in a star pattern. Re-check torque after 100 miles or after track use.
