They do not need to swallow the dose, it just has to come into contact with their tongue or gums. Dose 2 pumps orally, 2-3 times a day, or 3 pumps into the water dish daily. Safe for long term dosing but if the symptoms have eased, try reducing the dosing to one dose a day orally or if you are using the water bowl, then reduce to dosing the water bowl every 3 days and see if that is sufficient to keep them free from reactions.
