Sleek and elegant, the m ale’s shimmering green head, gray flanks, and black tail-curl make it easily identified. Almost all domestic ducks trace their lineage to the Mallard, too. But that quack you hear is the sound of the female Mallard. Males don’t quack; they make a quieter, rasping sound.All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary.
