It’s t he only North American woodpecker that stores and then covers its food, like insects or acorns, underneath bark. Bird Collective will donate 20% of the profits from this patch to support Alabama Audubon’s conservation work in a state where Red-headed Woodpeckers remain year-round residents.All embroidered bird patches have an iron-on backing, but the adhesive is temporary.
