A tremendous flow of energy streams through the mother, who emits an orgasmic scream of pain echoing from her own birth to her death, portrayed as silhouettes on either side of her head. The Tibetan syllables, a white Om, red Ah and blue Hum appearing in the head, throat, and heart, are seed syllables of all the Buddhas, signifying the mother as a birthing Buddha. In the heart of the screaming newborn, the Vajra, Tibetan symbol of the thunderbolt scepter, represents imperishable spirit.
