The Vaso Cilindrico is a tall, cylindrical ceramic vase designed by Aldo Londi for the Rimini Blu collection. Standing 30cm high with a 14cm diameter, its clean vertical form is wrapped in engraved stencil motifs, geometric and abstract patterns that create a dense, tactile surface. The vivid turquoise glaze, layered over hand-brushed cobalt accents, enhances the texture and gives the piece a luminous finish that shifts with the light. The result is a sculptural object that captures the spirit of the Italian Riviera and the artistic experimentation of the 1950s.Each Vaso Cilindrico is hand-thrown in white refractory clay and finished by Bitossi’s artisans in Montelupo, Italy, using the same techniques developed by Londi. The decoration is applied while the clay is still soft, then glazed and fired to reveal the full depth of colour and detail.
