The Norwegian name for Christmas, “jul”, originates from the ancient norse “jol” or “jolablot”. This was an old celebration where the Vikings sacrificed in honour of the Midwinter’ s day, January 12. We celebrate today’s midwinter with this handcrafted Aquavit, containing Arctic cloudberries and lingonberries. Matured in sherry casks and carefully stored for one year in old NATO bunkers..
