I love this satin black/charcoal glaze it makes food pop on the plate and is so soft and silky. Each plate has been hand formed with a smooth white clay body and then the rims are decorated with various styles from carving to cookie cutter, the top right has no decoration and is slightly curved so passes as a very shallow bowl.The backs of these plates have been left un glazed, sometimes there are small specks of black glaze on the undersides but very minor.
