Instead, there is a focus on contrasts, softness, grain, and even a bit of a dreamy feel. You'll be able to understand how those work within black and white, and even test them on your own photos! With these presets specifically being categorized as creative extensions (if you don't know what that means, go to this page), I want you to consider one thing when you apply them: How could they look better for your style and your photo? These are made flexible enough that you should be able to keep a vintage look, but implement your color preferences. FIRST TIME?
