The technique uses watercolours in a manner similar to traditional oil painting glazes; to create a richness and depth to the colour and textures evident with the animal. The pops of colour in the ice-cream have been created using gouache, the density of the colour contrasting wonderfully against the dark fur. It has then been professionally printed using archival inks on Hahnemuhle William Turner 310gms cotton rag paper. This particular paper is just gorgeous, it has the appearance of water-colour paper and has been specifically created for longevity when used with pigmented inks.
