It's never an easy thing to reinvent a black belt and to actually make it worthwhile. But when we discovered saw this new incarnation of one of our favourite croc prints with its lacquered black finish we felt that it would more than justify its place in our collection. The contrast of matt black with the gloss lacquer applied to it gives the belt a really interesting and striking tonal black effect. The best thing with a belt like this is that you can keep your outfit tonal and still give it a lift even though you are wearing 'just' a black belt. For this combination we have decided to go with a classic slimline silver finish buckle - this keep the focus firmly on the uniqueness of the leather finish for a really clean crisp look. It's a great black belt that is classic but equally has something different to say about it - ideal for jeans or on a black trouser and definitely one for contemporary eveningwear.
