Scientific Name: Pangio oblonga Black Kuhli Loach (Pangio oblonga) is a slender, eel-like bottom dwelling fish known for its smooth dark brown to black coloration. Unlike the banded Kuhli Loach, this species has a solid dark body that gives it a sleek appearance. These peaceful loaches are shy and do best in groups. They enjoy aquariums with soft substrate, plants, driftwood, and plenty of hiding places. Black Kuhli Loaches are most active during the evening and spend much of their time exploring the bottom of the tank.
