Black Moon Tarantella is a collection that moves between motion and stillness, grief and persistence. tripp J crouse explores what it means to live on the threshold — between life and death, belonging and exile, access and denial. Each poem steps into the dark with reverence, carrying both sorrow and the stubborn rhythm of survival. tripp j. crouse (they/them) is niizh manidoowag (Two-Spirit) Ojibwe, an enrolled member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. they were a co-editor for "Plancestors," an all-Indigenous issue of plant poetry published by Alocasia. tripp serves as a poetry reader for ANMLY and Kitchen Table Quarterly, and has poetry published or forthcoming in Yellow Medicine Review, oddball magazine, Words & Whispers, beestung, Rising Phoenix Review, Tidal Echoes, Red String Literary Magazine, Mystic Owl, and Ink & Marrow. their poetry has been anthologized in Breaking the Static (Chapter House, 2024), Euphoria (Ink & Ivy, 2024) and Katabatic Circus (Angry Gable Press, 2024). they are the author of the chapbook, For Every Dead Buffalo (Bottle-cap Press, 2024). strawberry moon press, 2025
