The garments are based on a study of historical prairie dresses from The Museum of the Mountain West in Colorado, emblems of American spirit and story-telling. These dresses were all hand-made by American women in the 20's and 30's. Their stories are found in details such as tiny pin-tucks, ruffled hems, and worn sun-bleached fabrics. Each look is completely upcycled; using patchwork, over-dye techniques, and bleaching, the historical silhouettes are transformed into something new.
