This vessel is the perfect companion for tea, coffee or cacao lovers. The mug body was thrown on the pottery wheel with a ball of black stoneware clay, then joined with a handcraft ed serpent handle. It was left to slowly dry before being fired twice in the kiln.The outside of the mug is exposed, raw clay. The inside is coated in a glossy glaze and the serpent finished with a matte glaze.The serpent symbolizes surrender, release, death and rebirth. In order to survive, serpents must routinely shed what keeps them from growing and no longer serves.
