Several American fly tiers claim the fame to this fly. It is definitely an American pattern probably designed to match their Stonefly hatches in the Mid West. We are indebted to th ese men as this fly used as an attractor pattern covers a range of insects. The black pattern can work as a Black Cricket, Black Cicada and any other black crawly thing on surface water. We also find it useful when fishing an indicator rig if fish are spooky on the usual bright indicator flies. This Black Stimulator does not seem to worry the fish. Always worth a try. Show more
