An elegant, stylised tulip design, inspired by the Art Deco movement. Printed in our studio onto natural tactile fabrics. These panels are ideal for embellishing with stitches, using in patchwork and other craft projects. The tulips are perfect to add some embroidery to. I added a simple seed stitch with 2 stands of embroidery thread / floss and the flowers come to life. On a white printed version I used pastel pinks and purples and the fabric bloomed beautifully with a little colour. Choose your colours and you have an easy project to work on in the evenings. I filled half of the panel with stitches and then made it into a zipped purse. The linen and linen / cotton blend fabrics are best for embroidering into as they have a looser weave and wonderful texture. Hand screen printed in my London studio. Tulips, printed in black.- printed area measures approx 50 x 34cm (19.5 x 13.5")- each tulip measures approx 8.5 x 3.5cm- printed with water based inks- heat set and fully washable at 30 degrees, iron on a warm setting on reverse of printprinted on a choice of basecloth:- white 100% cotton which is smooth and perfect for quilts- white 54% linen / 46% cotton blend which has the beautiful texture of medium weight linen- natural coloured 100% linen Small imperfections may be present, these will be minor and part of the beauty of buying handprinted fabrics. Some shrinkage will occur after washing, this is a feature of natural fibres, please allow for this or prewash before using in your projects.
