Ensure that your candle is placed on a heat-proof surface, away from moving air (fans, windows, etc.) to prevent potential fire accidents. Allow your candle to burn through the entire top layer of wax to avoid tunneling. This is especially important the first time you burn your candle. If the top layer is not burned all the way to the edge of the jar, your candle will develop a tunnel with unused wax building up on the sides of the jar. Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours. After burning your candle, use tweezers to dip the wick into the cooling wax to fully extinguish it.
