Black walnut ink is made from the seed and hull of the black walnut tree. I collect all of the walnuts my self and extract the ink. The ink is preserved with alcohol and clove. Bla ck walnut ink was used historically for early manuscripts and document writing. Today, it carries a deeply earthy, protective energy—often chosen for spellwork, shadow work, and intentional artwork, embodying ancestral wisdom, grounding, and strong spiritual boundaries. This ink works best on water color paper. The ink is on the thinner side and is not recommended for ink pens. Instead I recommend feathers, sticks, paint brushes. Feel free to experiment.
