Our Original cut is the widest, most oversize silhouette and is as the name suggests the initial design of this coat. The Slimcut was added later in response to requests for something a little narrower for a more petite frame. Inspired by Halley's 1910 patent for waterproofing textiles, this cloths finish is a combination of their driest wax and soft areo tumbling. Making it the perfect lightweight, breathable, weather repellent cloth for our coats. Over time the fabric will offer a soft aged appearance, keeping all the character of natural cotton. Your garment can be hand washed at 30 degrees, line dried and lightly ironed on a cool setting. It is recommended that you reproof your wax cotton garments regularly to extend its life.
