These berries ripen mid to late June. The Apache grows to about 8 feet high and spreads about 4 ft. Plant approximately 4 ft apart. It starts bearing fruit at 2 years old. This plant was introduced in 1999. It should be pruned back to approximately 3.5 ft to help avoid the need for support.
