Our Ribes nigrum Ben Tirran is an upright, deciduous shrub. It possesses yellow-green foliage and white-pale green flowers that contrast perfectly against one another. They will bloom in Spring, before tasty, edible, Blackcurrant fruit is ready to harvest in late Summer. They can be included in a variety of everyday meals, as well as eaten individually, bringing a tremendous, rich flavour. They will grow to an ultimate height and spread of 1.5m. In terms of plant care, it should be placed in bright, indirect sunlight and planted in moist, well-drained soil. Watering becomes essential when the soil is dry to touch.
