Large fruit, good size bunches. A reliable cropper. Does well in areas with hot (not subtropical) or cool summers. Self-pollinating so other pollinators not needed. Blackcurrants a re one of the easiest berries to grow. They are very productive and easily picked and if not eaten straight away they can be frozen in containers, to be used throughout the year. Great to eat raw frozen, by themselves or in smoothies, or cooked in pies or crumbles. They blend really well with apples and other fruit. Very high in vitamin C and antioxidants. Substantial plants, around 0.5-0.7m high with multiple strong stems and great root system, will usually have a small crop in their first year. Cutting grown, bare-root plant. Show more
