The Black’s Flat Line Release Clip is designed for controlled flat line trolling directly from the transom of the boat. This clip assembly snaps easily onto a cleat, transom ring, or dive platform, allowing anglers to position baits lower in the water column while maintaining organized line placement. Used in offshore and nearshore trolling applications, the Flat Line Release Clip helps keep lines separated and reduces the likelihood of wind pushing lines into each other, minimizing tangles during turns or in crosswinds. By positioning baits slightly below the surface, it supports a clean presentation when targeting species such as tuna, mahi, wahoo, kingfish, sailfish, and other pelagic predators. This setup is commonly incorporated into multi-rod trolling spreads where flat lines complement outriggers and long riggers. The Black’s Flat Line Release Clip provides a practical solution for maintaining proper bait spacing and consistent release performance when a strike occurs. Features: Snaps onto rope cleat, transom ring, or dive platform Designed for flat line trolling applications Helps reduce line tangles caused by wind Allows bait to troll slightly below the surface Suitable for offshore and nearshore trolling setups
