Blackstar BEAM Mini Portable Guitar Amp, Bluetooth Speaker & Moises AI Practice Amp Quick Product Summary The Blackstar BEAM Mini is an advanced portable guitar amplifier, Bluetoot h speaker and recording solution designed for modern practice, learning and music creation. Combining Blackstar amp modelling, native Neural Amp Modeler compatibility, CabRig speaker simulation, more than 35 effects and an 18+ hour rechargeable battery, it delivers a remarkable amount of technology from an ultra-compact desktop amp. Now made even more powerful by Moises AI stem separation, the BEAM Mini can use the Blackstar BEAM app to separate guitar from compatible songs in real time, allowing you to remove the original guitar part and play it yourself or isolate it to hear difficult passages more clearly. Whether you're learning songs, practising at home, travelling, recording ideas or simply streaming music, the BEAM Mini is one of Blackstar's most flexible compact practice solutions. The BEAM Mini takes the idea of a portable practice amplifier far beyond a handful of basic guitar sounds. Blackstar combines its own component-level digital modelling with Neural Amp Modeler compatibility, giving you access to a huge and constantly expanding collection of amplifier captures through TONE3000. It is equally focused on helping you become a better player. Bluetooth playback, backing tracks, lessons, a built-in tuner and the new Moises AI stem-separation integration turn the BEAM Mini into an interactive practice system rather than simply a small guitar amp. NEW: Moises AI Real-Time Stem Separation One of the biggest additions to the BEAM Mini is the integration of Moises AI stem-separation technology directly into the Blackstar BEAM app. Instead of simply playing a complete backing track through the amplifier, Moises AI analyses compatible streamed or stored music and gives you real-time control over different elements of the mix. Remove the Guitar and Take Its Place Want to play along with one of your favourite recordings? Moises AI can isolate the guitar from the rest of the track and allows the guitar part to be completely removed. You can then hear the original rhythm section and vocals while you take over the guitar part yourself, creating a far more realistic and engaging practice experience than playing over the original guitarist. Isolate Guitar Parts to Learn Them The process also works in reverse. If you're struggling to work out a riff, chord voicing or solo, you can isolate the guitar more clearly from the rest of the song. This makes it easier to concentrate on phrasing, timing, articulation and individual notes without the rest of the arrangement getting in the way. Reduce Vocals and Other Instruments The BEAM app also lets you reduce vocals and other instruments in the track to around 25% of their original level. That opens up additional ways to practise, whether you're concentrating on a specific instrument, performing vocals yourself or simply exploring how the individual parts of a favourite recording fit together. Simple Real-Time Control There is no need to manually edit audio files before you start playing. Connect your BEAM Mini, start your music and adjust the stem levels using intuitive controls within the BEAM app. The feature is included as a free update for BEAM users. Platform availability: iOS rollout from 28 August 2026 Android rollout from 30 September 2026 For players who spend a lot of time learning songs from recordings, this significantly expands what the BEAM Mini can do as a dedicated practice tool. Why Choose the Blackstar BEAM Mini? Huge Choice of Guitar Tones The BEAM Mini combines Blackstar-designed amp modelling with a wide selection of guitar, bass and acoustic voices, allowing one compact unit to cover everything from sparkling cleans and classic crunch to modern high-gain sounds. Native Neural Amp Modeler Compatibility TONE3000 integration gives the BEAM Mini access to more than 200,000 community-created NAM profiles, covering everything from classic and boutique amplifier styles to unusual and experimental rigs. Rather than being restricted to the models originally supplied with the amplifier, your available tone library can continue to grow. 35+ Studio-Quality Effects A comprehensive collection of effects lets you build complete signal chains without an external pedalboard. Blackstar's XpressFX system also allows multiple effect parameters to be controlled quickly from the BEAM Mini's SpeedDial, keeping adjustments immediate and musical. CabRig & In The Room Technology Blackstar's IR-based CabRig system recreates cabinet and microphone characteristics, while its In The Room technology is designed to provide more of the sensation of hearing a real amplifier moving air beside you. This is particularly useful when practising through headphones, where conventional cabinet simulations can sometimes feel more like listening to a recorded amplifier than actually playing one. Serious Bluetooth Speaker Performance The BEAM Mini is designed to perform as both an instrument amplifier and a high-quality portable Bluetooth speaker. Dual full-range drivers, passive radiators and Blackstar's Super Wide Stereo technology produce a spacious soundstage for backing tracks, lessons and everyday music listening. 18+ Hours of Portable Playing An internal rechargeable battery offers more than 18 hours of operation, making the BEAM Mini well suited to practising away from mains power, travelling or simply moving between rooms without carrying a power supply. Neural Amp Modeler Compatibility Explained Neural Amp Modeler, commonly shortened to NAM, is a technology capable of creating highly detailed digital captures of real amplifier and signal-chain behaviour. Rather than relying entirely on a fixed collection of conventional amp models, the BEAM Mini can load compatible NAM captures from TONE3000. This gives players access to more than 200,000 community-created profiles, covering classic amplifiers, boutique equipment, high-gain rigs and less conventional sounds. For players who enjoy experimenting with different amplifier characteristics, NAM support makes the BEAM Mini a platform that can keep expanding long after purchase. BEAM App Control The free Blackstar BEAM app unlocks deeper editing and content beyond the physical controls on the amplifier. Use it to explore amps, cabinets, microphones and effects, manage patches, access artist sounds, browse NAM captures, practise with learning content and use the new Moises AI stem-separation features. The BEAM Mini itself remains straightforward to operate without constantly reaching for your phone, with Blackstar's SpeedDial and illuminated Beam interface providing fast control over essential settings. Super Wide Stereo & Bluetooth Audio Small practice amplifiers often sound noticeably compromised when they're asked to reproduce full-range music. The BEAM Mini uses two full-range drivers together with dual passive radiators, supported by Blackstar's Super Wide Stereo processing, to create a much larger and more immersive soundstage than its physical dimensions might suggest. That makes it useful not only for guitar practice but also for playing backing tracks, lessons, playlists and other Bluetooth audio. Recording & Content Creation A built-in USB-C audio interface allows the BEAM Mini to connect directly to compatible computers, tablets and mobile devices for recording. Its USB implementation can provide fully processed stereo guitar signals as well as a clean guitar DI, giving you flexibility when recording or working with additional software. The 3.5mm TRRS connection can also accept a compatible headset microphone, allowing guitar and vocals to be used together for practice, recording or content creation. Who Is It For? Beginners The BEAM Mini gives developing players far more room to grow than a traditional entry-level practice amplifier. Easy controls, backing-track playback and the ability to remove or isolate guitar parts with Moises AI make it particularly useful for learning songs. Intermediate Players Players developing their sound can explore extensive effects, detailed amp modelling, CabRig and the enormous TONE3000 NAM library without building a large physical amplifier and pedal collection. Experienced Guitarists Experienced players looking for a compact practice or travel solution will appreciate the depth of modelling, native NAM support, recording capabilities and sophisticated practice tools. Recording Musicians & Content Creators USB audio, headset microphone support, Bluetooth connectivity and extensive modelling make the BEAM Mini useful for capturing ideas, home recording and streamlined content creation. Bass & Acoustic Players Dedicated bass and acoustic voices increase the BEAM Mini's usefulness for multi-instrumentalists who don't want separate practice systems for every instrument. Why Choose a Smart Desktop Guitar Amp? A modern smart desktop amplifier combines several pieces of equipment that would traditionally have been separate. Instead of needing a practice amp, effects pedals, Bluetooth speaker, recording interface and separate learning tools, an amplifier such as the BEAM Mini brings these functions together in one compact system. For players with limited space or musicians who frequently practise in different locations, that combination can make everyday playing much easier. Blackstar BEAM Mini vs Positive Grid Spark GO The Positive Grid Spark GO is a popular ultra-portable practice amplifier with an extensive app ecosystem, but the BEAM Mini takes a particularly ambitious approach to expandable guitar tones through native NAM compatibility and TONE3000 integration. The addition of Moises AI stem separation further strengthens the BEAM Mini as a learning tool, especially for guitarists who regularly practise alongside commercial recordings. Both are designed around portability and connected practice, but players especially interested in NAM captures, CabRig and Blackstar's approach to amp modelling may favour the BEAM Mini. Blackstar BEAM Mini vs Yamaha THR The Yamaha THR family helped establish the desktop guitar amplifier category and remains popular with home players. The BEAM Mini places greater emphasis on extreme portability, rechargeable battery operation, downloadable NAM captures, AI-assisted song practice and a modern mobile-app ecosystem. Players wanting a particularly compact amp that can double as a Bluetooth speaker and travel companion may therefore find the BEAM Mini especially attractive. Story & Context Blackstar has spent years developing digital modelling alongside its traditional guitar amplifier ranges, with products such as ID and ID bringing increasingly sophisticated digital technology to everyday players. The BEAM family represents another step in that development, combining portable amplification with connected learning, recording and music playback. The BEAM Mini expands the concept into a self-contained stereo desktop amplifier, while technologies such as NAM support and Moises AI allow its capabilities to continue developing through software. Fair Deal Music Verdict ★★★★★ 5/5 The Blackstar BEAM Mini was already an unusually capable portable practice amplifier thanks to its combination of Blackstar modelling, native NAM support, CabRig, Bluetooth audio and USB recording. The addition of Moises AI stem separation makes the practice side of the package considerably more compelling. Being able to remove the guitar from a recording and take its place, or isolate a difficult guitar passage for closer listening, addresses something musicians actually do every day when learning songs. Add the enormous TONE3000 library, 35+ effects, impressive stereo audio system and 18+ hour battery life and the BEAM Mini becomes much more than a miniature guitar amp. For home practice, travelling, learning songs and quick recording, it offers an exceptionally broad toolkit in an extremely compact format. Why Buy From Fair Deal Music?
