Oakbank, Kuitpo Adelaide Hills Chardonnay with a touch of Riesling, blended together and made with a different approach. The 2023 Moorak Blanc is an aromatic fruity white that's savoury on the palate. Like a skin contact white without the 'orange,' it's fleshy, easy going and approachable. VINEYARDS:The Chardonnay comes from Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills, while the Riesling was grown in Kuitpo, Adelaide Hills.AROMA/FLAVOUR:Rockmelon, pink grapefruit and peach. STYLE:Aromatic, pitchy and alternative white. WHEN/WHERE TO DRINK:Good atmosphere, where it can be sharedWHAT TO EAT WITH:BBQ, smokey dishes and béchamel.WINEMAKER NOTES:This is predominantly made from the 76 Clone of Chardonnay, which comes with a similar flavour/aroma to muscats. Fermented all in stainless steel to keep its fruit profile, while left on full solids, full malo and a bit of time in seasoned oak to tame it. A touch of Riesling blended in for some kick too.
