Regan vineyards is happy to ring the bell with news that we have released our 5th wine….Blanc de Blancs Sparkling Wine (don’t call it Champagne, as that upsets our French friends). This wine follows on our existing Regan wines: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, The Great Fog (Nebbiolo) and Merlot. The new sparkler is produced from 100% Chardonnay grown in Regan . The wine was aged for 18 months “en tirage” on the yeast with fermentation done is the classic champenoise tradition, that is, in the bottle. This crisp clean refreshing sparkler is representative of the cool climate at Regan from where the grapes are grown. The dosage added included the faintest amount of brandy, as is the French tradition….the long rising bubbles in the glass add to the festive spirit of the season. The wine carries a bright yellow label reflective of the effervescent fine wine, with a detail of “Nancy’s Cuvee” shown on the front label which is a nod to our one and only Nancy Falcon, who along with our partners have allowed for the success at Regan Vineyards Winery. Chardonnay was the first varietal planted at Regan in 1992. This is our inaugural release of a sparkling wine and is dedicated to Nancy Falcon, whose effervescent personality pairs well with bubbly wines. Come visit and share our passion.
