The premium expression is aged for an additi onal two years beyond the Original Single Barrel Bourbon. The Red Takara Japanese Edition sees a total of 8 years in the barrel, while maintaining the 93 proof. This unique process creates a beautiful, warm maple-color bourbon, with notes of deep vanilla, chocolate fudge, and cherry pipe tobacco on the nose. On the first sip you get a deeper and richer version of Blanton's core with creamy notes of brown butter and clove. It then opens up to marmalade, toffee, and wild honey.
