This little hut was built in to the slopes of the Great Blasket Island, which was home to Ireland's most westerly settlement. The hillside is the island's only shelter from the wild weather coming in from the Atlantic.It's hard to imagine how tough life must have been for the island's inhabitants, often cut off from the mainland for weeks due to bad weather. They did, however, live in one of the most incredibly beautiful places I've ever seen! All prints are hand signed, titled and embossed by the artist.
