This print is inspired by Lamprocapnos, also known as Asian Bleeding Heart, a shade loving woodland plant native to Northern China, Siberia, Korea, and Japan. Bleeding Heart has be en cultivated in Asian gardens for so long, no one knows the exact areas where it is native. These delicate flowers that seem straight out of a fairy tale, and their blooms bring delight each year as an early sign of spring. The border detailing and the framing are inspired by illuminated manuscripts and antique book covers. Printed with pigment based inks on archival, acid free paper. Print dimensions are 7.5x10 inches.
