Our Story "People said I was crazy to do it" Blenders was born in San Diego. A surf coach shaking up the sunglass industry with only $2,000 to his name? Wild. But I didn't want to blend in. I wanted something different, radical, and fun. Born on Dance Floor Built on the Beach It all started in 2012 while enjoying my favorite DJ at a local nightclub. My neon green “beater” shades received rave reviews on the dance floor, and what began as a night filled with close friends and good music quickly escalated into a full-fledged obsession with sunglasses.After months of research, it soon became clear the market needed a cooler, more community-driven brand. So, fresh outta college, I started with one style and sold the first Blenders out of my backpack on the beach between surf lessons. As I quickly learned, life’s finest teacher is experience — and the only way you’re going to fail is if you stop. A Global Community Centered Around People and Passion Community is the cornerstone of Blenders.
