“Bless This Mess” — Little Edie Poster (Grey Gardens Era) Equal parts chaos and charm, this image of Edith Bouvier Beale—surrounded by cats in the crumbling world of Grey Gardens—c aptures something unexpectedly perfect. Headscarf on, posture intact, and fully in her own reality, Little Edie turns disorder into a kind of signature style. Made famous through Grey Gardens, her life became a study in independence, eccentricity, and resilience. The setting may be cluttered, but her presence is anything but—composed, expressive, and completely self-defined. Show more
