This is our washed Peruvian coffee from San Jose de Lourdes in San Ignacio, Cajamarca. The community here has a strong dedication to working with nature, not against it, making sus tainability the heart of their operation. The coffee is produced by many smallholders in the area which are powered by the hydroelectric micro-basin creating renewable energy. This coffee is grown between 1,400 - 1,800 meters above sea level with the varieties being a mixture of Caturra, Typica, Catimor. Peru, while overshadowed by other big producers in the world, is actually the 5th largest producer of Arabic beans in the world. Show more
