Features: Frames of digital data which have been encoded using the BLOCK CODE ENCODER module are decoded with error detection and/or correction, depending upon the selected code. E rror detection and error correction indication & output signals are provided, as appropriate to the selected code. Frame synchronisation may be achieved either from an external synchronisation signal or may be extracted from the embedded frame synchronisation code within the data received stream. The bit clock provided must be synchronised and in-phase with the incoming digital data. Code selection is made via a front panel switch.
