A unique and beautiful hand carved piece made from Bloodstone. This Skull is 2" (front to back) and weighs approximately 3.5 ounces. Bloodstone is known as Heliotrope and is a dark green to greenish-blue variety of Chalcedony (a type of Microcrystalline Quartz). The splashes of red are caused by Iron Oxide inclusions which gives it the appearance of "blood drops", hence its name, Bloodstone is considered a calming stone that brings mental clarity and emotional balance. It helps to reduce irritability, aggression and impatience. Can provide grounding and protection while enhancing courage, strength and resilience.
