You may not notice it at first, it may feel like you're dwindling in the dark, but if you give yourself compassion and time, you will ‘Bloom Again’.Let this painting be an invitation to bring tenderness to the areas of your life that feel hard and challenging, and awareness for the fact that you’re doing so much better than you give yourself credit for. Even though life can be hard at times, nothing lasts forever and you will experience beauty and wonder again. It may not be what it was before, but it can be marvelous and wonderful in new ways. The inspiration behind the painting:As I was recovering from endometriosis surgery I had to go on multiple walks a day as part of my physical rehab. At first it was really hard. I could do 2, maaaaybe 3, walks a day of just a few minutes each. But as time went by, I was able to add a minute and then a couple minutes more. And slowly but surely, I started to feel a little less hazy and a little more alive. The trajectory of my recovery coincided with the changing of the seasons: I had surgery late winter and as I started to heal, winter turned to spring. I didn't notice it at first: how everything around me started to come alive. Just like how I didn't notice the same thing was happening for me. But one day, when the pain was a little less and the fog in my mind had lifted a bit: I started to see it. How everything in nature was budding. Opening up. Coming alive. And then: Blooming. It felt so hopeful! I turned to canvas to capture what I saw and felt: if you give yourself compassion and time, you *will* Bloom Again.
