The Blooming plates come in two shapes. The round is 26cm across, with deep convex petal-curves running from rim to center and a gently dished well at the middle — sized as a main plate at the table. The oval is 218 × 145mm, shallower, with the same petal silhouette and a feature Insoil calls 2-way: both faces are finished, so you can turn the plate over and use either side. Both are high-fired porcelain (1250°C) in the studio's semi-matte white glaze with hand-scattered iron-oxide dots. The round works as a main plate — a full meal, a small platter to share, a piece of cake at the center of the table — and the dished well holds sauce or a thin broth without running. The oval is sized for brunch, dessert, or a single salad alongside something else. Both are microwave- and dishwasher-safe; use wood or bamboo cutlery rather than metal to keep the matte glaze unscratched. Each plate is hand-formed and hand-glazed. Surfaces carry pinholes from escaping kiln gases, occasional glaze drip lines and pooling at the rim, glazing-tong marks, and varying dot pattern, sheen, and texture between plates.
