Blossom is Inspired by a Sonia Delauney drawing of flowers in the 1930's. She was a modernist avant-garde painter interested in geometric abstraction who became a textile designer later in life. In her floral designs, she was inspired by the arcs of wheels, spokes and flowers. In keeping with this era we combined colors that were in soft subdued and muted hues. Blossom is printed on a polyester silk which gives it a lovely hand and the slubby silk texture gives it extra depth.
