My paintings explore the unconscious dreams, desires and fantasies at play beneath the surface of our everyday lives. The images depict moments or scenarios of heightened significa nce or emotion. The work varies from scenarios where fantasy and reality combine, often focusing on dreamlike scenarios such as weddings, prom nights, first dates and the like. I’m interested in the rituals, ceremony and dress associated with graduation balls, and how these operate in relation to our personal and collective fantasies. Show more
