BLU-RAY Eastern Airlines DC-7B After a successful sold out DVD run Just Planes is delighted to be re-releasing this classic on Blu-ray! Eastern Air Lines started operating the DC-7 in 1953. The aircraft featured in this program was delivered to on January 23rd, 1958. Eastern operated 49 DC-7Bs, they were retired in October of 1966. Eastern Air Lines ended operationg in early 1991, about the time Just Planes was born... N836D was rescued from almost certain scrapping in 2004 and went through a 6 year restoration project that led to its return to the air on July 4th, 2010 at Opa Locka Airport.
