Steel blue narrow leaves in a rounded, spiky fashion make this ornamental grass a valuable addition to any landscape. It resembles a larger Blue Fescue and is super sturdy and easy to grow. Plant with golden foliage plants for a stunning combination. Best to cut back in mid winter so the spring flush is clean and bright. In one season it will be 2 ft x 2 ft and taller when the seed heads are produced in late summer. Blue Oat Grass won the prestigious Award of Garden Merit of the Royal Horticultural Society in 1993.
