This all‑blue mask features a prominent inverted cross across the front. While the inverted cross is sometimes associated in contemporary culture with satanic imagery, its historic al origin is attributed to Saint Peter, who — believing himself unworthy to die in the same manner as Jesus — requested to be crucified upside down.
