Another prominent detail on this shirt is the collar, which is slightly expanded, giving your neckline subtle visibility. Finally, this garment has a dropped shoulder construction, giving it a comfortable, oversized fit. This piece in particular is dyed in a unique Cornflower Blue color exclusive to our brand. This was accomplished through a process called 'garment-dying'. What is Garment Dying? Garment dying is when you color clothes after they've been cut and sewn. Ordinarily, fabrics are woven and dyed before sewing, but if you make the garment first and then apply dye, this softens both the color and texture, giving new pieces the rumpled elegance of ‘vintage’. How was this shirt made? It was constructed in Los Angeles by expert sewers using premium materials and techniques. These experienced sewers earn up to $25 an hour and no less than $16; additionally they have healthcare benefits for less than $15 per week, a 401k plan, paid sick days, subsidized bus passes and favorable overtime benefits. How thick is this shirt? The textile used on this shirt is an 8 oz mid-weight cotton. This means the shirt is heavy, but not too heavy. It's perfect for layering underneath coats and jackets, and it's also substantial enough that it can be worn as a standalone piece.
