This cheeky Long-Billed Corella is full of personality – with a mischievous sparkle in its eye! Painting ‘Bluey’ the Long-Billed Corella was a joy. Cockatoos ooze character and Blu ey was no exception. With that scruffy crest, curious stare and a face full of sass, I knew I wanted to capture all the chaos and charm that these birds bring. I had so much fun creating those inky patterns and textures to echo the feathery mess and wild energy that Corellas wear so well. The watercolours gave me space to explore those soft whites, dusty pinks and that striking blue eye, while the ink let me really lean into the movement and mischief. This one’s full of attitude and I loved every second of bringing Bluey to life. Show more
