Blur June 1990 B2, Metropolitan Wharf, London E1 Artwork Title: Blur - 1990 - Contact Sheet 22B Oh so young, photographed around the time of There's No Other Way, when Blur were still being labelled Baggy or Madchester tag-a-longs rather than the band they would soon become. This session was photographed in my shared studio at B2, Metropolitan Wharf in Wapping, long before the area became the polished riverside neighbourhood it is today. Looking through this contact sheet now, I like how quickly any attempt at a formal portrait disappears. Within a few frames they're pulling faces, hiding behind one another and generally making it impossible to take things too seriously. The pink chinagraph mark identifies the frame I selected for printing at the time. Looking through these sheets still takes me straight back to that afternoon. ---------------------------------------------------------------- All prints are produced on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Giclée paper.
