Our boards can be used for general cutting and chopping or meal preparation as a serving platter - think cheese, dip, snacks, and charcuterie, or for displaying your collection of gems, candles, and other trinkets. Wood patterns, grains, texture, and colours will vary from one slab to another. Our aim is to capture the beautiful colours and unique grains, so each item is handcrafted and one of a kind with the original Stump'd Since2021 branding and finished with a food safe oil. CARE Hand wash or wipe over with warm water and detergent, then rinse or wipe over your timber board with clean water Let it air-dry completely, or towel dry it evenly on both sides before putting it away. NEVER put your boards in the dishwasher. Exposing wooden boards to heat, even direct sunlight for long periods, can cause warping or cracking. NEVER soak your boards in water as this can cause warping or cracking. NEVER bleach your board at this destroys the natural oil and properties in the timber. MAINTENANCE When your board starts to look dull or dry, it's time to oil your board. Generally, it is good to do every three to six months depending on how often it’s used. We use and recommend Gilly's citrus based Chopping Board Oil. Put a tablespoon spoon or two of oil depending on the size of the board, then use a dry cloth or paper towel to wipe it over the board. Let it sit and soak into the wood for about 20 minutes. Then, wipe over with a dry cloth.
